Sorry to babble on about Mad Men but catching up on 3 seasons has me hooked right now. From a business standpoint, I love that no matter if it is the 60’s or the 2010’s, marketing is about emotion.
Even decades ago, in the earlier stages of branding and marketing, their primary goal was an emotional attachment with the buyer that would compel them to “need.”
Nothing has changed. Whether you are selling a service, a widget or a hammer, there must be an emotional connection in the way you present your message. Otherwise, your just another salesman pushing something they can find anywhere else.
